Women Entrepreneurs: Local Advancement + Global Trends

Entrepreneurial activity among women continues to attract attention worldwide. This panel discussion will review the research on entrepreneurship as a career choice for women globally, the career paths followed by women entrepreneurs, the attitudes and behaviors associated with successful business, the problems that persist and policies that deter access to relevant resources. A discussion of legislation and practices that have helped and hindered women entrepreneurs will follow, in addition to evaluating the readiness of female entrepreneurs/startups to adapt and invest in the changing trends in technology, innovation, acceleration and incubation systems. Lastly the panel will put forward suggestions for reframing legislation and legal infrastructures to align Bahrain with global trends and propose initiatives to equip female entrepreneurs for the future.
