Raman Kumar is a successful serial tech entrepreneur and private equity investor. He is the founder & former Chairman/CEO of NASDAQ listed M*Modal Inc, a leading voice recognition, healthcare document technology company that he took from a start-up to until it was sold to One Equity Partners for over a billion dollars in 2012. Since then, he has actively invested in a number of ventures across India, Middle East and USA. He is also a limited partner in three large international private equity funds.
In 2012, he founded Aeries Technology Group (ATG), a successful technology, business process management and consultancy services company which he later transformed its business to offer new age technology solutions like AI, blockchain and cutting-edge ERP solutions to its global clients. In 2015, he joined the board of T-Hub, one of India's most successful tech incubator and accelerator for startups based out of Hyderabad. In 2016, Raman launched CASHe, a fintech company, which quickly established itself as India's leading digital lending platform for salaried millennials. Later in 2017, he was appointed as the chairman of Global Entrepreneurship network India at the GES Summit, Hyderabad.
In 2019, Raman was awarded as the serial tech entrepreneur of the year award by Entrepreneur India. He also received the 2007 Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year award for Maryland, USA. During the same year, he was also honoured with Maryland International Leadership Award by World Trade Centre Institute, Baltimore.
