Semi Hakim is the co-founder of Kök Projekt, a business development company that builds and designs food&agriculture incubation and acceleration programs. During his education, Semi Hakim graduated from HaliÃ§ University's Tourism Management and continued to Culinary Arts Academy Istanbul to receive his professional culinary training. During his time of being a chef, he coordinated research projects on Anatolian cuisine and culture, took part in international gastro-diplomacy projects, coordinated food events and projects focused on small-scale agricultural producers in Turkey.
In 2015 with Shirley Kaston, Semi Hakim co-founded the Kök Projekt and started working on building incubation and acceleration programs on food, agriculture and water sectors. Kök Projekt is a company that collaborates with companies, NGO's and governmental organizations to builds digital and physical platforms for food&agri entrepreneurship across Turkey, Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa region.
