Originally from Bahrain, Nezar Kadhem moved to San Francisco to attend university at age 17. After graduating and being inspired by the startup ecosystem in San Francisco, Nezar moved to Babson College to complete a masters degree in global entrepreneurship. The program was truly global, and allowed Nezar to live in France, China and Boston, and work first hand with VCs, startups and incubators. Nezar then moved to Paris and co-founded his first company, focused on reservation systems for event organizers. The startup was acquired two years later by a French events and nightlife company. Nezar then moved back home to Bahrain in 2014 and launched Eat App, The Middle East's #1 reservation platform for restaurants. Eat App has raised $4.2m USD to date from prominent investors like 500 Startups and MEVP. Eat currently operates in Bahrain, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Northern Emirates, Riyadh, Jeddah, Kuwait City, and Beirut, and has seated more than 6+ million diners across 2000+ restaurants.
