Renata Malheiros Henriques is currently the deputy senior manager of the Entrepreneurship Department at SEBRAE – The Brazilian Small Business Development Agency, where she currently oversees entrepreneurship development programs in all Brazilian states.
Prior to this role, she worked in different positions at SEBRAE, such as advisor to the president, advisor to the technical director and manager of SEBRAE Access to Markets Department, where she led small business programs in trade facilitation, startup internationalization as well as digital transformation, particularly in the field of e-commerce. She has also been the manager of SEBRAE International Cooperation Department, where she oversaw projects with multilateral and bilateral organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank and the GIZ.
Ms. Henriques has over 10 years of experience in small business development in value chains. She holds an MPhil in development studies from the University of Cambridge, UK (2015), an MBA in Project Management from the Getulio Vargas Foundation, Brazil (2008) and a bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of Brasilia, Brazil (2007). Her main interests are entrepreneurship, gender equality and digital transformation for small business development. She is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
