Biography

Ibrahim Adam Ahmed El-Dukheri, Professsor of Agricultural Economics, Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics (system analysis; mathematical approach), Technical University of Munich, Germany, 1997. M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics, Washington State University, Pullman, USA 1987. B.Sc. Honor in general agriculture, University of Khartoum, Sudan 1983.

Work Experience: Since May 2017 and onward he is the director general of Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, April 2017, Federal Minister of Agriculture and Forestry. December 2012 to June 2015, Director General of the Agricultural Research Corporation (ARC). June 2010 to December 2012, Minister of Agriculture and Forests, South Darfur State of Sudan. May 2006 to May 2010,Research Scientist at the Center for Economic Studies and Policy Analysis of the ARC. July 2002 to April 2006, Food Security Advisor and Project Manager for Kordofan Food Security Project, funded by the EU. November 2001 to July 2002, National VAM Officer with the World Food Programme (WFP), attached to the Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping Unit. Duties include analysis of the food security situation. 1999 to 2001, Project Manager and Technical Analyst for Kordofan Food Information System (Early Warning Project) of CARE International in the Sudan. 1997 to 2001, Part-time lecturer at the University of Kordofan and supervisor for research work as partial fulfillment of degree of Master in Agricultural Economics. January 1992 to December 1992 National Socio-economist for the On-farm Research Project, funded by the FAO. 1987-1999, Research Scientist with the Agricultural Research Corporation (El-Obeid Research Station- Agricultural Economic Section).
