Kizito is the Executive Head of SEA Africa, a research and development firm focused on linking businesses to African markets. He is also the co-Chairperson of the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) 22 on Sloane which is Africa’s largest startup campus based in Johannesburg South Africa. His past experience includes, heading up Guest Relations, Internal Sales and Marketing for the Tsogo Sun Group, Editor for the African Entrepreneur magazine, Head of Research at the BAM-SA group, and Associate at Centre for Creative Leadership (CCL).
Kizito plays a significant role in the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) in South Africa and the rest of Africa and has been highly instrumental in developing the GEC+Africa which is new initiative of GEN aimed at bringing Africa’s ecosystem together. As the bid process leader for the Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) in March 2017 (themed “Digital Disruption”), he won the hosting rights for Johannesburg, a first for both South Africa and the continent. During the bid process, he co-ordinated and championed the private-public partnership amongst the key stakeholders. He has also spear-headed the development of the largest Startup campus (22 ON SLOANE) in Africa situated in Bryanston Johannesburg. 22 ON SLOANE has over 100 Tech and Digital startups that is revolutionising various industries. 22 on Sloane works with various global institutions and have recently finished a research report with the World Bank looking into SME finance gaps in South Africa. He also writes weekly on African Tech Startups which is published in the South Africa’s Business Report newspaper (The Star).
Kizitoâ€™s academic qualifications include a diploma in Latin Language (affiliated to the Urban University in Rome), a diploma in Public Relations, a postgraduate diploma in Business Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) where he delivered his thesis titled, “The contribution of higher education in advancing entrepreneurship in South Africa”.
